With the launch happening real soon, here's a closer look at its design.
Royal Enfield is gearing up to unveil the Guerrilla 450 in July. Another set of spyshots of this upcoming motorcycle has surfaced and this time the bike is spotted very closely. The inspiration for this bike, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is made for tougher terrain with its adventure-ready stance, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 adopts a more road-friendly approach.
The first thing you'll notice is the lower stance compared to the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. This translates to a more comfortable riding position, ideal for navigating city streets and manoeuvring through traffic. The round LED headlight adds a touch of modern flair to the classic scrambler look. Also, the headlight unit might be the same as seen on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. The instrument cluster keeps things simple with a single-pod design. As it is off-centre it might be the unit off the Meteor 350. This way the company would save some cost by not giving a colour display from the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 gets a single-piece seat which seems to have a deeper curve. This causes it to have a lower seat height. This also creates a step layout for the pillion to sit high up. Lastly, the tail section has been the same as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 as it has been seen through many iterations of the spyshots.
On the suspension side, this bike gets a telescopic front fork with gaiters. This is a budget-friendly option compared to the USD fork on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Further hinting towards its road-biassed nature are the 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.
Underneath the new scrambler exterior lies a powertrain borrowed from its adventure sibling, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. The 450cc Sherpa engine is a recent liquid cooled gem, churning out a healthy 40 bhp and 40 Nm of torque. The 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch ensures smooth gear changes and offers better control during downshifts.
Royal Enfield is expected to keep the Guerrilla 450 under ₹ 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom) to remain competitive. This price tag, coupled with the proven performance of the Sherpa engine, might make the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 a compelling proposition for riders. With the unveiling expected in July, official specifications and pricing details should be revealed soon.
