What’s next after you book a car on ACKO Drive?

Once you make the payment on the ACKO Drive website, the car booking is confirmed. You will also receive a confirmation on your registered email address along with a booking receipt. Below is the process involved after you book a car on ACKO Drive.

Step 1

You will receive a welcome call from ACKO Drive's Relationship Manager (RM). The RM will briefly explain the overall process after booking a vehicle on ACKO Drive.

Step 2

The Relationship Manager will also confirm the nearest car dealership from where you will get the delivery of the car.

Step 3

If you are purchasing the car on loan, the RM will also guide you regarding the documents required to apply for a car loan. The loan documents can be collected from your home.

Step 4

The Relationship Manager will update you once the loan is approved. If the loan is not approved, the RM will guide you through the next steps.

Step 5

If you buy the car by making a full cash payment, you can ignore the above three steps.

Step 6

Once the finances are sorted, you will receive a delivery date based on the availability of the car. The waiting period depends on the make/model and variant.

Step 7

You will receive updates once the car is dispatched from the manufacturing plant. The next update would be once the car is in transit, and lastly, ACKO Drive will notify you once the car reaches the dealership.

Step 8

ACKO Drive will provide you with a PDI (Pre-delivery Inspection) checklist document before the car delivery. You can also contact the Relationship Manager if you need any assistance during the delivery of the vehicle.

Step 9

You can either opt for free doorstep delivery or visit the dealership to collect your new car. ACKO Drive also provides free driver assistance if you need a driver to drive your new car home.

Car delivery process

Once the car reaches the dealership, it is ready for handover to the customer post the vehicle registration process, provided you have settled the finances. Below are the steps involved in the new car delivery process.

ACKO Drive provides you with two options to collect your brand new car: free doorstep delivery or you can pick up the car from the dealership if you wish to do so.

ACKO Drive will provide you with the Pre-delivery Inspection (PDI) checklist document to examine the car before you drive the car home.

If you opt for the delivery at the dealership, ACKO Drive also provides you with free driver assistance if you need a driver to drive your new car home.

The best option is to opt for doorstep delivery, given the current pandemic situation. Doorstep delivery is free and also ensures your safety.

ACKO Drive will also take care of the car insurance and registration process.

Pre-delivery inspection

Pre-delivery inspection or PDI is nothing but the inspection of a new car before the delivery of the vehicle. Typically, the car dealership will carry out the PDI before handing over the car to you.

Can I take the delivery of the car at any authorised car dealership?

You can get the delivery of your new car from ACKO Drive partner dealerships. Your Relationship Manager will assign the dealership that is nearest to your location. ACKO Drive partners with authorised dealerships post a careful assessment of the service delivered by a particular dealer.

The car delivery date keeps changing. What is the reason?

Any car booked through ACKO Drive is subject to availability. If the vehicle is already available at the partnered dealership, the delivery will be quicker. If not, there may be some waiting period. In such cases, the delivery date may fluctuate as per the availability of the vehicle from the OEM.

Do I need to inspect the car by myself before taking the delivery?

Your car will be ready for delivery at the dealership in the best condition. You can inspect the vehicle by yourself with the help of the ACKO Drive PDI checklist document for new cars. Alternatively, you can also get in touch with ACKO Drive’s dealership coordinator to help you out with PDI.

Does ACKO Drive provide driver assistance during the delivery of my car?

Yes, ACKO Drive provides this service if you need a driver to drive your new car home. The driver assistance service is entirely free for ACKO Drive customers.

Where should I submit the car loan documents?

If you are buying a car on loan, ACKO Drive will guide you through the documentation process. You can submit the loan documents at the designated dealership. The dealership will take it forward with the partner bank.

Will ACKO Drive help me out with car registration and car insurance?

Yes, ACKO Drive will take care of the car registration process. Your car will have a permanent/temporary registration number during the delivery of the vehicle.
