In January 2023, BMW Group India introduced the refreshed 2023 BMW X7 in India, offering two variants: the petrol-driven X7 xDrive40i M Sport and the diesel iteration xDrive40d M Sport, priced at Rs. 1.30 Crore and Rs. 1.34 Crore (ex-showroom, India) respectively. Competing with rivals like the Mercedes-Benz GLS, Audi Q7, and Land Rover Range Rover Sport, the BMW X7 received subtle cosmetic enhancements compared to its previous model.

The exterior updates include striking split LED headlamps with LED daytime running lamps above the main headlight unit, a slightly revised large kidney grille, and a redesigned front bumper for a sportier appearance. The SUV also boasts updated wheels, refreshed 3D LED taillights connected by a chrome stripe, and a revised rear bumper with dual exhaust ports.

Inside the cabin, the highlight is the new digital BMW Curved Display within the BMW Live Cockpit Professional, featuring a split-screen with a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the left and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster on the right. Additional interior updates include a new ambient light bar with 14 colour options, crystalline components such as the gear selector and start/stop button, a larger Sky Lounge Panoramic glass sunroof extending to the third row, a Harman Kardon surround sound system with 16 speakers and hands-free operation of the split tailgate.
