The bookings for the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V are open now, with deliveries scheduled to commence in July.
Hero MotoCorp has updated its popular Hero Xtreme 160R 4V with prices now starting at Rs. 1.27 lakh (ex-showroom, India), available in three variants- Standard, Connected 2.0, and Pro. With the 2023 update, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V brings in tons of changes to its mechanics, as well as cosmetic tweaks to keep things fresh in the segment. The bookings for the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V are open now with deliveries scheduled to commence from July.
Niranjan Gupta, CEO, Hero MotoCorp said, “This is going to be a defining year in our journey towards premiumization. We are going to introduce a series of class-defining products in the premium motorcycle space, and the launch of the Xtreme 160R 4V is the first in a series of launches lined up through the year.”

The biggest changes on the 2023 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V come to functional aspects such as 37mm inverted front fork suspension by KYB, and a 7-step pre-load adjustable rear suspension, offered only with the top-spec Pro variant while the range gets telescopic forks at the front and mono-shock set-up at the rear.
To make it even more lethal, the company has added weight on the Xtreme 160R 4V to 144 kg on the base and Connected 2.0 variant, while the Pro weighs 145 kg. All variants of the 2023 Xtreme 160R 4V get petal disc brakes. Powering the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is an updated 163cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled and air-cooled engine with 4-valves that help develop 16.9hp @8,500 rpm, and 14.6 Nm @6,500 rpm, a bump of 1.7 bhp over the older version.
Visually, the 2023 Xtreme 160R 4V takes a huge step forward and gets tons of muscular character lines, to make it look bolder and sportier than before. For this, the company tweaked the design of the fuel tank to make it more athletic and thus improving its aerodynamics while the under cowl and the rear grip are also improved to be visually in sync with the rest of the motorcycle. The headlamps are lowered while the new fairing winglets enhance the overall appeal of the motorcycle. The company is also offering multiple seat options- Single Seat or Split Seats that can be interchanged according to preference.
In terms of features, the 2023 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V comes equipped with a new display, loaded with 20 features such as Bluetooth status, battery health status, service alert, gear position, ABS/engine malfunction, call/SMS/ missed call alerts, etc. Moreover, with the Connected 2.0 variant, the 2023 Xtreme 160R 4V receives more than 25 notifications about the vehicle’s health and safety.
The company is also offering three paint schemes with the 2023 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V- Blazing Sports Red, Matt Slate Black, and Neon Shooting Star, available depending on the variant. The 2023 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V rivals the likes of Bajaj Pulsar N160, and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, starting at Rs. 1.23 lakh and Rs. 1.24 lakh (ex-showroom, India) respectively.
