Both variants of the Triumph Street Triple 765 come with tweaks to the engine and visual enhancements to go along with them.
Triumph Motorcycles India has launched new trims to its Street Triple 765 range: Street Triple 765 R and Street Triple 765 RS at Rs. 10.17 lakh and Rs. 11.81 lakh (ex-showroom, India), respectively. Both variants of the Triumph Street Triple 765 come with tweaks to the engine as well as visual enhancements to go along with them. Triumph has also updated the chassis and suspension setup of both motorcycles to make them even more engaging than before.
The Triumph Street Triple 765 R is a definitive streetfighter, with the 2023 update bringing about increased power, torque, and performance, courtesy of upgrades directly derived from the Moto2 race engine development program. The Triumph Street Triple 765 R now develops an increased power output of 118 bhp and 128 bhp on the RS respectively. The gearbox is also improved for shorter throws for quicker acceleration.
The compression ratio has been raised from 12.65:1 to 13.25:1 - an increase of 4.7 per cent along with new pistons, con-rods, and gudgeon pins are matched to new, optimised combustion chambers for an increased cylinder pressure limit and, ultimately, more power. Triumph has also installed new valves and camshafts for increased valve lift and improved intake, combustion, and exhaust efficiency.
Both the 2023 Street Triple R and RS benefit from the new generation’s more focused and commanding riding position, thanks to the new 12 mm wider handlebars, lowered clip-on handlebars by 80mm and 50mm further forward, coupled with high-specification Öhlins forks. The 2023 Street Triple RS also comes with revised geometry, a steeper rake, and a raised back end for faster turning.
Moreover, the 2023 Triumph Street Triple R features Brembo M4.32 4-piston radial monobloc calipers at the front and a Brembo single-piston sliding caliper at the rear, while on the Street Triple RS, it comes as standard. A matching Brembo MCS span and ratio adjustable lever gives even more control and finesse, while a Brembo single-piston sliding caliper keeps things in check at the rear.
The 2023 Triumph Street Triple R comes with Continental ContiRoad tyres, while the Street Triple RS comes fitted with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tyres. Front-wheel travel is 115 mm, with 131.2 mm rear-wheel travel on the RS and 133.5 mm on the Street Triple R.
The Triumph Street Triple 756 RS features a 5-inch full-colour TFT instrument with switch cubes and a five-way joystick for system navigation. The Street Triple R comes fitted with its own dedicated easy-to-read multi-functional instrument set-up, which includes a TFT display for key information.
