We expect Bajaj to bring minor updates to the other Pulsars as they unveil the Pulsar NS400.

Bajaj Auto has hinted at the upcoming launch of three new Pulsar motorcycles – the NS400, Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 250F. While the Pulsar NS400 launch has been officially confirmed for May 3, 2024, the other two Pulsars are expected to be unveiled soon based on recent developments.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400

The Pulsar NS400 is set to be the new flagship motorcycle in the Pulsar range. Officials at Bajaj have confirmed a May 3rd launch date for the NS400, which is expected to debut a fresh design language that could serve as a template for future Pulsar models. The styling is expected to be an evolution of the existing Pulsar NS200, retaining the muscular and powerful look characteristic of Pulsar motorcycles.

Powering the Pulsar NS400 is likely to be the same 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine found on the Dominar 400. This engine currently produces 39.4 bhp and 35 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. However, unlike the Dominar, the Pulsar is likely to carry the same spirited engine tune that is found on the current-gen RC 390 and the previous-gen 390 Duke.

In terms of technology, the Bajaj Pulsar NS400 could feature Bluetooth connectivity for call and message alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, and even ABS-based riding modes. Given its placement in the 400cc segment, the Pulsar NS400 could potentially be equipped with ride modes or at least traction control.

Suspension duties are expected to be handled by a USD fork and monoshock combination, with disc brakes on both wheels providing stopping power. The Bajaj Pulsar NS400 is estimated to be priced between ₹ 2.05 lakh and ₹ 2.20 lakh (ex-showroom).

Bajaj Pulsar 150

The Pulsar 150 has been recently spotted at dealerships sporting a new fully digital instrument cluster and Bluetooth connectivity features. While the design appears largely unchanged, the new instrument cluster is a significant upgrade, mirroring the unit introduced earlier this year with the Pulsar N150 and N160. The Bluetooth connectivity features allow for accepting/rejecting calls, music playback functionalities, and charging through a conveniently located USB C-type port within the headlight cowl. Mechanically, the Pulsar 150 retains the same air-cooled, single-cylinder, 149.5cc engine that produces 13.8 bhp and 13.25 Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The price of the Pulsar 150 has recently seen a slight increase, with the dual disc variant now costing ₹ 1,17,965 (ex-showroom) and the single-disc variant priced at ₹ 1,13,910 (ex-showroom).

Bajaj Pulsar F250

Bajaj took the listing for the Pulsar F250 off their website earlier, but recent developments suggest a potential relaunch with significant upgrades. The update is expected to mirror the changes introduced in the recently launched Pulsar N250. A key highlight could be the addition of 37 mm upside-down (USD) forks. The semi-digital instrument cluster would be replaced with a new fully digital LCD unit offering smartphone connectivity features like call/SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. Additionally, the 2024 Pulsar F250 could adopt a three-level ABS system with Road, Rain, and Off-road modes, switchable on the fly (except for Off-road mode, which requires the bike to be under 20 kmph). Wider tyres – 110/70-section at the front and 140/70-section at the rear – are also anticipated. The price is expected to remain similar to the recent price increase of the Pulsar N250, suggesting a minimal change.
