Both the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 and Classic 350 are the epitome of non-sophistication.
Until now, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 and the Classic 350 were similar models. While the former is the brand's entry-level motorcycle, the latter is slotted above the RE Hunter 350 as the entry point in the RE roadster range. This was despite the bikes' features list and aesthetic being almost identical. The subtle differences made it quite hard for consumers to choose the appropriate bike. After all, the bikes looked and read almost the same on paper!
However, Royal Enfield has breathed some fresh life into the Classic 350 with renewed visuals that have enhanced the bike's regal appeal. Beyond this aesthetic upgrade, the roadster has also gained a few features, which has made it a bit more modern. On that note, how does the new Royal Enfield Classic 350 differ from the Bullet 350? Let's find that out:
Gone are the halogen lamps that were one of the signature designs of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Bullet 350. Instead, brand new LED units are available with the headlight, tail light, and even pilot lamps. These additions have made the Royal Enfield Classic 350 more relevant and modern. However, for those seeking nostalgia, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 will continue to be available with halogen lamps.
Another update that has been welcomed with open arms are adjustable levers. While both the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 and Classic 350 are known for their heavy lever action, the new option to adjust the levers in the 2024 Classic 350 should make matters a bit easier. Whereas, the RE Bullet 350 will continue to be available with the same non-adjustable brake and gear lever – which again keeps matters simpler and retains the old charm (if you can say so).
Royal Enfield reintroduced the 2024 Classic 350 with new colour options spread across five different variants: Heritage, Heritage Premium, Signals, Dark and Emerald. The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is available in three variants – Standard, Military and Black Gold. Additionally, while the Classic 350 Dark and Emerald variants are available with Royal Enfield's Tripper Pod navigation as standard, this feature continues to be missing with the Royal Enfield Bullet 350, even inthe top trim models.
But one of the most subtle updates introduced with the Royal Enfield Classic 350 is the new gear shift indicator. This info will be displayed on the small LCD beneath the analogue instrument cluster. A welcome change for all "Classic" fans, with this inclusion, riding the Royal Enfield Classic 350 will not be a mental exercise anymore (of which gear the bike is). Having said that, Royal Enfield might include this new feature with the Bullet 350 as well, however, something official has yet to be confirmed.
Lastly, the final factor that will distinguish the J-series motorcycle is its price. With a price range from ₹1.73-₹2.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai), the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 to be the brand's entry-level offering. As for the Royal Enfield Classic 350, these updates are expected to increase its ex-showroom price slightly. While RE will reveal the new ex-showroom price on September 1, we expect the 2024 RE Classic 350 to be ₹3,000-₹5,000 more expensive than its current range of ₹1.93-₹2.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai).
