For 2025, the Ather 450X just became safer and more efficient.
Ather officially took the wraps off the 2025 iteration of its 450X. And while its signature stance has remained untampered here, there are still a few key changes that make the scooter safer and more efficient than before. Here’s what has changed:
New introductions that instantly stand out are those gorgeous new colour options – Desert Sand and Stealth Blue. The latter gives the scooter a nice premium feel, while the former keeps matters subtle, yet exciting and not as loud and on-your-face as the other brightly coloured options.
For 2025, the Ather 450X has gained a lot of features from both the Rizta and 450 Apex. From the latter, it gains the ‘Magic Twist’ regen braking feature, which allows you to bring down the scooter to stand still and at the same regenerate juice into the battery for more range.
From the Rizta, the 450X gains traction control, which in Ather’s terminology is called SkidControl. However, on the 450X you will get three levels – Rain, Road, and Rally – to finetune it to your liking.
With the 2025 450X, Ather has brought in new MRF Zapper N e-tred tyres which have less rolling resistance than before. This has helped make the scooter 14 per cent more efficient, which helps extrapolate more range. So, despite using the same 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh battery packs as before, the range has increased from 85 km to 110 km and 105 km to 130 km for the respective trims.
Longer Warp Mode
Due to the tyre's low rolling resistance aidin' to more range, Ather could also manage to optimise the Warp mode on the 2025 450X. And from this year onwards, it can be used for a longer duration – and that we think is gonna help satiate a lot of enthusiasts' hunger for performance.
Yes, the Ather 450X has improved in certain key areas which will help elevate the experience, but that has come at a cost. At ₹1.47 lakh for the 2.9 kWh variant and ₹1.57 lakh for the 3.7 kWh variant, the new 450X has become expensive by ₹6,000 and ₹2,000 from before.
