The Dominar 400 will get an all-new instrument console and mechanical upgrades.
While the Bajaj Dominar 400 might not have been the sales success the brand envisioned it to be, the company hasn’t given up on it. Bajaj recently shared a teaser on its social media page with the message “Dominar Evolved” which signifies that an update on the bike is around the corner. We had exclusively reported that the new Dominar 400 will be updated with a LCD-Dot matrix instrument cluster, which first made its debut on the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z.
With this update, the 2025 Bajaj Dominar 400 will get features such as turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts. The inclusion of navigation should help with the touring quotient of the bike, but it’s not a Google map like unit that we have seen on the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Apart from the above, on the mechanical side, the engine complies with the latest OBD-2B emission norms. What will be interesting is the tune of the engine, will Bajaj update power output as it did with the new 2025 Pulsar NS400Z or stick with the old tune in which it produces 39.4 bhp and 35 Nm.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 currently retails for ₹2.39 lakh and while Bajaj has updated the bike on a regular basis, it has never been a sales hit. The above update seems periodic and might have a small impact on the sales numbers, but given that many bikers are shifting to adventure bikes, we feel it’s high time that Bajaj works on an ADV bike based on the same engine. The 2025 Bajaj Dominar 400 might go on sale in the next couple of days and it might see a price revision of ₹2,000-4,000.
