The new Pani V4 looks cleaner, and sleeker and even debuts a few brand new components.
Kickstarting the World Ducati Week 2024 in Misano on a high note, Ducati has showcased the new generation of its hallowed superbike, the Panigale V4. Ushering in a different design, the new 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 looks cleaner, sharper and much more athletic than the last iteration.
Besides that visual upgrade, the Borgo Panigale-based manufacturer has also tweaked the bike's chassis and engine – all of which have made the Panigale V4 much more accessible to all kinds of riders, both amateurs and professionals, claims Ducati.
Starting with the heart of the matter, powering the new Panigale V4 is the Euro5+ compliant, 1103 cc, Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine. Due to this, power has increased slightly by 0.5 bhp at 214 bhp at 13,500 rpm, and torque has dropped by 3.3 Nm from before to 120.9 Nm produced at 11,250 rpm. In addition to the change in output figures, Ducati has also reworked the internals of the engine in the form of high-lift cams. Sending this power to the rear wheel is the same 6-speed gearbox with slipper-assist clutch and quickshifter as standard.
Starting with the new front end. Gone are the LED projector headlamps, and instead new LED headlights arrive, the design of which can be traced back to that iconic Ducati 916. The fairing design has also been updated and Ducati claims that it increases aerodynamic efficiency by 4 percent.
To ensure that these mechanical upgrades retain the Panigale V4’s competitive nature, Ducati has updated both the frame and the swingarm. While the engine continues to be the main integral member of the chassis, a new front frame has been designed to improve all-round usability. Also, the single-sided swingarm gets replaced by a new double-sided swingarm, called the Ducatil Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm. According to the Italians, it is lighter, stiffer and more effective in putting the power down while exiting corners. Furthermore, since the new rim assembly isn’t as complicated as before, the unsprung mass will make the Panigale whole lot more alive.
Ducati has also equipped the 2025 Panigale V4 with new third-generation Ohlins NPX-30 pressurised fork, and TTX36 monoshock. Beyond that, it also debuts Brembo’s brand new Hypure callipers that are 30 gm lighter than before and are more effective at heat dissipation. Along with that, the bike also rides on new 17-inch alloy wheels that are again 2.17 kg lighter than the last units and the wheels are shod with stickler Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 tyres. All of these upgrades have made the bike lighter and the new Pani V4 tips the scale at 191 kg (dry), making it 7 kg lighter than before.
The new seventh-generation Ducati Panigale V4 will start arriving at showrooms of Europe from September onwards. And since Ducati already has the entire Panigale portfolio on sale in India, this new Pani should also make its way to our shores by the start of 2025. As for its price, expect it to command a hefty ₹25-28 lakh (ex-showroom) price tag.
