Race Report
Oscar Piastri started from pole and maintained his lead throughout all 72 laps at the Zandvoort Circuit, showcasing exceptional composure even during safety car interruptions. Max Verstappen kept the pressure on, ultimately finishing just behind Piastri, while rookie Isack Hadjar claimed a stunning third for Racing Bulls.
McLaren’s Lando Norris, who had been Piastri’s main title rival, suffered a heartbreaking retirement late in the race due to an oil leak. Ferrari endured a miserable outing; Lewis Hamilton crashed on lap 23, and Charles Leclerc clashed with Kimi Antonelli after a late pit stop, which ruined his hopes for points.
“The whole team improved, and I’m very proud,” Piastri said post-race. "Starting out on top is a good way to go. But there’s still a long way to go this season
