KRT stands for Kawasaki Racing Team, and the new Ninja 650 features a livery inspired by the Japanese brand’s race bike.
Kawasaki has upped the Ninja 650’s ante by launching its KRT Edition. Priced at ₹7.27 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the new 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition is ₹17,000 more expensive than the standard Ninja 650. For that extra amount, buyers will be privy to Ninja 650 that looks like the Kawasaki Racing Team’s bike. The KRT livery distinguishes itself from the standard bike’s shade with a unique three-tone strip of black/white/yellow.
Mechanically, the Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT Edition retains the 649 cc, parallel-twin engine producing the same 67 bhp and 64 Nm as the standard bike. This mill comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox and it is available with an assist-and-slip clutch as standard.

Kawasaki says that it has equipped the 2025 Ninja 650 KRT Edition with an upgraded tech pack to include traction control, TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, etc. While these features are also available with the standard bike, these bits might have been optimised to suit the special edition bike.
Beyond the above, the 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 650 KRT edition also gets accessories like frame sliders, tank pads, pillion seat cover, radiator guard, USB charging kit, and an optional taller windshield.
Kawasaki has not stated as to how many units of the new Ninja 650 KRT Edition will be sold in India. We’re expecting it will be brought in limited numbers, so if you are interested in getting your hands on one, get in touch with your nearest dealership and enquire about the same.
