Skoda India has launched the 2025 Skoda Kodiaq in the country at a starting price of ₹46.89 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new Kodiaq, positioned in the premium full-size SUV segment, is available in two variants—Sportline and Selection L&K, the latter is priced at ₹48.69 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It will continue to be offered with a single petrol engine, now tuned for higher performance, along with updated features and a refreshed design.
The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq sports a revised exterior design, aligned with Skoda’s current global styling cues. Both variants share the SUV’s signature butterfly grille and connected LED taillights, but differ in trim details. The Sportline variant features a more aggressive appearance with blacked-out elements, while the Selection L&K variant leans towards a premium aesthetic with chrome and silver accents. The top-end variant also includes a full-width LED light bar at the front. The Kodiaq rides on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, with different designs based on the chosen variant. Skoda offers the SUV in six monotone colours, five of which are shared between both variants, while each variant gets one exclusive colour.
Inside, the 2025 Kodiaq introduces a layered dashboard layout complemented by soft-touch materials and leatherette upholstery. The Sportline trim carries an all-black interior theme, whereas the Selection L&K variant offers a dual-tone black and tan combination with a contrasting white headliner. Among the new additions is a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, paired with a 10.25-inch digital driver display. Notably, Skoda has retained physical rotary knobs for climate and infotainment controls, branded as ‘Smart Dials’, offering a balance between tactile feedback and modern interfaces.
Other comfort features include multi-colour ambient lighting, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, three-zone automatic climate control, and a panoramic sunroof. The front-row seats are electrically adjustable and now offer ventilation, heating, and massage functions. A 13-speaker Canton sound system completes the premium experience.
The 2025 Kodiaq comes equipped with a comprehensive safety package. It offers nine airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera setup, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control (ESC), hill start assist, hill descent control, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ISOFIX child seat mounts, and park assist.
However, despite its premium positioning, the updated Kodiaq does not offer advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), a feature increasingly becoming common in this segment.
Under the hood, the Kodiaq retains its 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive layout. While the torque figure remains unchanged at 320 Nm, the engine has been retuned to deliver 14 bhp more power than its predecessor, taking the total output to 201 bhp.
The new Skoda Kodiaq competes in India’s full-size SUV segment, taking on rivals like the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, MG Gloster, and the upcoming MG Majestor as well as its cousin, the recently launched Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line.
