Toyota Kirloskar Motor has introduced an update for the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, as it sees several enhancements in its features, safety equipment, and drivetrain configuration. The starting price of the Hyryder now stands at ₹11.34 lakh (ex-showroom), marking a modest increase of ₹20,000 compared to the previous version.
A major highlight of this update is the introduction of an all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration paired with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Previously, the AWD option was only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox. This change is aimed at offering better convenience to customers who seek enhanced traction without compromising on driving comfort, particularly in urban and mixed-terrain scenarios.

While the engine lineup remains unchanged, the Hyryder continues to be offered with two primary powertrain options: a strong hybrid setup based on Toyota’s 1.5-litre petrol engine, and a mild-hybrid version co-developed with Maruti Suzuki. The latter also comes with a CNG variant. The power outputs for all these configurations remain the same as before.
In terms of features, the 2025 Hyryder gains significant upgrades that elevate its premium quotient. New additions include an 8-way powered driver’s seat, ventilated front seats, rear door sunshades, and a 15W Type-C fast charging port. Also new is an Air Quality Index (AQI) display and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, available on automatic variants. These enhancements build on an already comprehensive equipment list that includes a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging, a panoramic sunroof, auto climate control with rear AC vents, and a head-up display.

On the safety front, Toyota has made six airbags standard across all variants, addressing a growing demand for improved occupant protection. Other safety technologies such as a 360-degree camera system, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror (IRVM) continue to be available, further strengthening the SUV’s safety credentials.
