Kia Seltos continues to lock horns against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Victoris, Tata Sierra, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq.
Kia has announced prices for the second generation Seltos in India. Prices for the all-new Kia Seltos start from ₹10.99 lakh and go up to ₹19.99 lakh (both ex-showroom). Bookings for the second-gen Kia Seltos have been open since December 11 for a token amount of ₹25,000, and deliveries are slated to commence from mid-January.
The starting price is now higher by ₹20,000 over the previous model. The new Seltos is available in five variants - HTE, HTK, HTX, GTX, and X-Line. The new Seltos retains the same engine and transmission options as the outgoing model. The lower variants are offered with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 114 bhp and 144 Nm, alongside a more powerful 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit delivering 157 bhp and 253 Nm.

Diesel options include a 1.5-litre engine rated at 114 bhp and 250 Nm. Gearbox choices comprise a 6-speed manual and CVT for the naturally aspirated petrol, a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT for the turbo-petrol, and a 6-speed manual or torque converter automatic for the diesel. Let us look at how it compares against its prime rivals like Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Victoris, Tata Sierra, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq.
