Though there’s no official timeline at disposal, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Brezza facelift is likely to make its debut around mid-2026.
The Brezza isn’t just one of the highest-selling subcompact SUVs in India but also the one of the best-selling cars from Maruti Suzuki going around. First launched in 2016, major facvelifts followed in 2020 and 2022, the Brezza continues to hold a significant presence in the Indian car market selling an average of 14,561 units per month in the first half of 2025.
Maruti is working on another update on the Brezza which is expected to make its debut sometime next year. The update has probably been prompted by new versions of its rivals - the 3XO, Venue, Nexon, Kiger among others. This updated Brezza has been spotted testing for the first time. A video of the same has circulated on social media showing a fully-camouflaged prototype of the Brezza reportedly spied testing around Gurgaon Sector 21.
There is no evidence of any significant visual change as seen in the short clip. We do get to see newly designed four-spoke, black alloy wheels. We also expect subtle changes on the front and rear bumpers of the updated Brezza. Rest of the exterior appears to be unchanged with the same LED taillamp clusters, tailgate, roof rails, a roof-mounted spoiler, and boxy profile as the current model. The front face of the vehicle, however, isn’t visible in this video.
The latest spy shots don’t provide a sneak peek inside the cabin of the test mule. Therefore, presuming any interior changes will be premature at this time. However, we expect Maruti to add more features and probably a fresh colour scheme to the upcoming version of Brezza. With competition in this segment growing rapidly, the new Brezza is expected to benefit from a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) borrowed from the recently-launched Maruti Victoris.
Under the hood, the Brezza facelift is not expected to receive any major updates. It will likely continue with the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 102 bhp and 137 Nm of peak torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
The biggest takeaway from the above spy video is the CNG sticker on the body. This suggests that Maruti might be testing an underbody CNG kit for the Brezza like the Victoris that allows more boot space. For reference, the CNG version of Brezza produces 87 bhp and 121.5 Nm of peak torque.
