JSW MG Motor is gearing up to launch yet another facelift of the Hector. The mid-size SUV made its debut in July 2019 and this will be its third styling update since it was launched. Test mules of the facelifted MG Hector have been spotted on numerous occasions in the past few months. The supposed update is expected to be extended to its three-row version, Hector Plus, as well.
Over the past few days, MG has been teasing the upcoming Hector on its social media handles. Ahead of its launch slated on 15 December 2025, MG has dropped yet another teaser of the updated Hector. This time, the company has teased a brand new colour option namely Celadon Blue.
In the latest teaser, MG shares partial glimpses of the updated Hector and going by the short clip, the overall design appears to be unaltered. Previous spy images have indicated several cosmetic updates, including newly designed five-spoke alloy wheels and a revised rear bumper featuring an updated skid plate. Subtle changes to the tailgate are also expected to enhance the overall aesthetic. At the front, the grille is likely to adopt a refreshed design, while the DRLs are expected to retain their current shape, preserving the model’s familiar lighting signature.

Beyond styling updates, MG is expected to introduce notable feature enhancements in the Hector facelift, most prominently an upgraded connected-car suite with a smoother and more intuitive interface. Convenience features such as rear ventilated seats are also anticipated. Additionally, the updated Hector is likely to receive an expanded range of ADAS functions.
Mechanically, the MG Hector will most likely remain unchanged. It will continue to be offered with two engine options: a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and a 2.0-litre Multijet diesel. The petrol unit, available with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission, produces 141 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, delivers 168 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque.
