Tata Motors is offering unlimited warranty with unlimited kilometers for the battery pack in the new Punch EV.
Tata Motors has launched the Punch EV facelift at a starting introductory price of ₹ 9.69 lakh and goes up to ₹12.59 lakh (both ex-showroom). Besides the regular pricing, Tata has also introduced a new BaaS (Battery as a Service) programme for the Punch EV with prices starting at ₹6.49 lakh (ex-showroom) in addition to a battery EMI of ₹2.6 per km.
This comes on the heels of the combustion-powered Punch facelift which was launched last month. Launched in early 2024, this is the first significant update to the Punch EV. The new Tata Punch EV is available in five trims or Personas namely Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+ S.

The 2026 Tata Punch EV gets subtle redesigning of its exterior which is in line with its petrol-powered sibling. It features a redesigned front fascia with a fully sealed grille, flanked by slim LED daytime running light (DRL) signatures on either side. Unlike earlier versions, the latest iteration does not include a connected LED DRL strip. The triangular headlamp cluster is mounted lower on the bumper and integrates a fog lamp.
The scuff plate on the lower section of the front bumper has also been subtly redesigned. At the rear, the facelifted model is expected to feature a new connected LED taillamp setup, similar to its ICE sibling launched a few months ago. The image also highlights a new Neon Yellow exterior paint option.

The updated Punch EV expands its colour palette with the addition of three new options: Bengal Rouge, Caramel and Fearless Yellow shades. Meanwhile, four colours from the outgoing model — Pure Grey, Empowered Oxide, Supernova Copper, and Pristine White— have been retained.
The Punch EV carries over the same cabin design and feature set as its recently facelifted internal combustion (ICE) counterpart. The most notable enhancement is expected to be a larger 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, now running the updated user interface seen on the Nexon EV. Tata has also introduced a new high-beam alert that nudges the driver to shut off high-beam lights in city traffic.
Tata has also added paddle shifters to the Punch EV that offers four levels of battery regen including single-pedal driving. Additional features offered in the 2026 Tata Punch EV include a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, fully automatic climate control, a wireless smartphone charger, a 360-degree surround-view camera, a six-speaker audio system, an auto-dimming inside rearview mirror (IRVM), connected car technology, and ambient lighting.
Tata Motors has added a new 40 kWh battery pack with the Punch EV that claims an ARAI-rated range of 468 km and a real-world C75 range of 355 km on a full charge. Apart from the 40 kWh unit, Tata is also offering a smaller 30 kWh battery unit. Besides the new battery pack, the updated Tata Punch EV is now compatible with a faster 65 kW DC charging which can rejuvenate the battery from 20-80% in just 26 minutes. In other words, this new DC fast charger can top up 135 km in 15 minutes.
Other than DC fast charging, Tata is also offering two AC charging options: a 7.2 kW wall box charger and a 3.3 kW home charger. The battery sends energy to a 95 kW (127 bhp) electric motor with a claimed wheel torque over 2000 Nm. As for performance, the new Punch EV can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in less than 9 seconds. There are three drive modes on offer: Eco, Normal, and Sport.
