The updated Triumph Trident and Tiger Sport 660 are expected to reach Indian shores some time later this year.
Triumph has pulled off the covers from its 660 cc middleweight duos — Trident and Tiger Sport. Both motorcycles come with a series of mechanical, styling, and features updates over their respective outgoing models.
In the latest iteration, the Trident 660 further reinforces its roadster character. Triumph has introduced revised bodywork, featuring a wider and more sculpted fuel tank with deeper knee cut-outs, updated seating, and a redesigned headlamp, which is expected to mirror the unit used on the larger Trident 800.
According to Triumph, these updates enhance both rider comfort and the motorcycle’s overall visual presence. The 2026 Triumph Trident comes with three colour options namely Cosmic Yellow, Stone Grey and Snowdonia White with distinctive graphics for each shade.

Chassis revisions include a new Showa rear shock absorber offering preload and rebound adjustment, complemented by a Showa 41 mm USD front fork. The braking setup remains unchanged, comprising twin 310 mm front discs with Nissin calipers, while Michelin Road 5 tyres continue as standard equipment. Triumph claims a wet weight of 195 kg and an accessible seat height of 810 mm, ensuring ease of use for a broad spectrum of riders.
The electronics suite remains extensive, with ride-by-wire technology supporting Sport, Road, and Rain riding modes, a six-axis IMU enabling cornering ABS and traction control, standard-fit cruise control, and Triumph Shift Assist for clutchless upshifts and downshifts. A digital TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity is also provided as standard.

The Tiger Sport 660 incorporates the same engine updates but applies them within a more touring-focused framework. Among the most significant revisions is a larger 18.6-litre fuel tank, which Triumph states enhances riding range during extended journeys. Updated bodywork, including redesigned radiator cowls, is intended to improve weather protection, while the adjustable windscreen now offers a broader range of coverage.

Suspension travel remains greater than that of the Trident, with Showa USD front forks and a rear monoshock delivering 150 mm of travel at both ends. The rear shock is also equipped with remote preload adjustment, allowing for easier adaptation when carrying a pillion or additional luggage. Despite its touring-oriented additions, Triumph claims a wet weight of 211 kg. As with the Trident, the Tiger Sport 660 is fitted as standard with multiple ride modes, IMU-based cornering ABS and traction control, cruise control, a quick shifter, and full LED lighting.
Powering both the Triumph middleweight duos is an upgraded 660 cc inline three-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that develops 94 bhp at 11,250 rpm and a peak torque of 68 Nm at 8,250 rpm. Peak power has seen a jump of 14 horses while torque is now spread wider and more usable with 80 percent of peak torque available from 3,000 rpm to nearly 12,000 rpm. Further, the redline has now climbed up to 12,650 rpm.

This has been achieved through by moving from a single throttle body to three individual 44 mm throttle bodies, one for each cylinder, combined with a larger, front-mounted airbox to enhance airflow and improve induction acoustics. The cylinder head has been revised with larger exhaust valves and a higher-lift camshaft profile, while the cooling system has been upgraded with a larger, repositioned radiator and an improved fan assembly.
The exhaust system now features a 3-into-1 header with a revised catalytic converter and an underslung silencer, delivering gains in both power output and exhaust note. Additionally, the gearbox has been updated with new shafts, revised gear ratios, and a recalibrated shift-assist strategy to provide sharper performance, particularly at higher engine speeds.
