The 2025 Honda Amaze scored a 5-star Global NCAP adult safety rating and 4 stars for child safety, placing it competitively against rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire.

The third generation Honda Amaze has undergone Global NCAP testing in 2025 and achieved adult occupant protection score of 28.33 out of 32 and child occupant protection score of 40.81 out of 49. It has received a 5 star in the adult occupant protection and 4 stars in the child occupant safety.

In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the Amaze 3rd Gen scored 14.33 out of 16.00. The side movable deformable barrier test resulted in a score of 14.00 out of 16.00. The side pole impact test was conducted and the vehicle showed adequate performance.

Child occupant protection testing used Honda Baby & Kids i-SIZE child restraint systems with ISOFIX and leg support. For an 18-month-old child in rearward-facing position, the dynamic score was 7.81 out of 8 maximum for frontal impact and 4 out of 4 for side impact. For a 3-year-old child, the frontal impact score was 8.00 out of 8 and side impact score was 4 out of 4.

The CRS installation assessment scored 12.00 out of 12 maximum points. Vehicle assessment score was 5.00 out of 13 maximum points.

Safety equipment in the tested Amaze 3rd Gen includes frontal airbags for driver and passenger, belt pretensioners, belt load-limiters, knee airbag, side head curtain airbags, side chest airbags, and side pelvis airbags. The vehicle also has ISOFIX child seat anchorages as standard fitment across all tested variants.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC) is standard across all variants, meeting UN GTR No.8, UNECE R140 and AIS-133 standards. Seat Belt Reminders (SBR) meeting AIS-145 and pedestrian protection systems meeting AIS-100 are also standard. The vehicle has a stable bodyshell and footwell area capable of withstanding further loadings.

Comparison with previous generation shows difference in outcomes. The second generation Amaze was first tested by Global NCAP in 2019 under older protocols and received 4 stars for adult occupant protection and 1 star for child occupant protection. In 2024, the same generation was retested under updated protocols and received 2 stars for adult protection and 0 stars for child protection.

The 2024 test showed the previous generation lacked standard Electronic Stability Control and side curtain airbags. The bodyshell was rated stable but the vehicle had only dual front airbags as standard. Child protection was affected by lack of three-point seat belts in all positions and absence of passenger airbag disconnect switch.

Honda Cars India stated that the third generation Amaze is engineered to meet tougher tests than current standards specify. The company has equipped the new model with 28 safety features including ESC as standard fitment across all variants.

In the sub compact segment, however, the Amaze has to deal with the 5 star rating of the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, the 4 star rating of the Tigor.
