Some SUVs in the market are getting an update, while a few models are also launching soon.
Planning to buy an SUV under ₹20 lakh sometime soon? There are many options on offer in the market currently, but some are scheduled to get an update and a few new models are also on their way. Check out this list before you spend your hard-earned money.
Slated to launch on January 16, 2024, almost everything is known about the Hyundai Creta facelift except for its price. The Creta facelift gets a new front- and rear-end design with a squared-off grille and new LED lighting elements. It gets new features as well, with the biggest addition being ADAS. Under the hood, the biggest change is the addition of the new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that debuted on the Verna. Our review of the Creta facelift is coming on January 17 at 11 am, stay tuned.
Mahindra is also readying a facelift of the XUV300 subcompact SUV. It is expected to have its design borrowing cues from Mahindra’s BE range of EVs. The interiors are also expected to have major revisions, with the most significant change being the introduction of the larger, 10.25-inch touchscreen that made its debut on the XUV400 recently. Powertrain options are likely to be unchanged.
The recently revealed Punch EV will be the first launch of the year for Tata Motors, and bookings are already underway for a token amount of ₹21,000. It will be based on Tata Motors’ new advanced Pure EV architecture dubbed ‘acti.ev’ (Advanced Connected Tech-Intelligent Electric Vehicle). The design of the Punch EV also previews the design of the upcoming facelift of the Punch ICE. The Punch EV will be offered will be offered in two versions – standard and long-range.
MG will also be introducing an updated version of the Astor compact SUV. While not much is known about what all will be updated, MG will debut its next-gen infotainment system on the Astor. MG has yet to divulge any details about its new infotainment software but expect it to get a slightly updated features list.
Launched in late 2020, the Nissan Magnite is also due for a facelift this year. While not much has been revealed about the Magnite facelift, expect it to have a slightly altered exterior and interior design as well as an updated features list. However, there will be no changes in the powertrain options on offer.
