Bajaj Auto has released sales figures for December 2023. In December 2023 it recorded a total sales figure of 3,26,806 units, showcasing a 16 percent increase compared to the same period in 2022.

In the two-wheeler segment, Bajaj Auto's total sales witnessed a 15 percent growth, reaching 2,83,001 units from 2,47,052 units in December 2022. The domestic market contributed with a 26 percent increase in sales to 1,58,370 units, while two-wheeler exports saw a 3 percent rise to 1,24,631 vehicles. The demand for two-wheelers has notably increased in the third quarter, and Bajaj Auto is aligning with this trend. Nevertheless, when comparing month-on-month, December sales are lower than the 2,18,597 vehicles sold in November, 2023.

Domestic sales increased by 28 percent to 1,90,919 units in comparison to 1,48,583 units in December 2022. Total exports in December 2023 increased by 2 percent, reaching 1,35,887 units compared to 1,32,931 units in the previous year. The product line from Bajaj did not receive any major updates but still there is an upward growth for the brand overall.
For the entire year of 2023, Bajaj Auto reported a 7 percent increase in total sales, reaching 32,82,357 units compared to 30,68,129 units in 2022. The domestic wholesale market witnessed a significant spike, soaring by 29 percent to 20,57,393 vehicles. In October 2023, Bajaj Auto set a record by selling 278,486 vehicles, the highest-ever for the Pulsar family, with over 161,000 units that month. The Pulsar remains a top-seller for Bajaj Auto. For FY24, itssales rose by 22 percent to 1,703,704 vehicles YTD (April-December), compared to 1,390,893 vehicles in the same period the previous fiscal year.
While the domestic market had an upward growth, Bajaj Auto faced a 17 percent decline in exports for the year 2023, totaling 12,24,964 units. This dip highlights the challenges posed by the global economic landscape. Bajaj Auto saw a 7 percent rise in overall sales in 2023, with a 29 percent increase in domestic sales, while facing a 17 percent decline in exports. In terms of upcoming products, the Bajaj Chetak will receive soon an update and a Bajaj Pulsar based on the Dominar 400 will also be making its debut in 2024.
