As vehicles become software-driven, the demand for interdisciplinary skills grows. These programs address that need, equipping professionals to navigate evolving industry challenges and drive technological progress.
Accenture and the Centre of Excellence in Advanced Automotive Research (CAAR) at IIT Madras have partnered to launch specialised training through Accenture’s LearnVantage Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) Academy.
The programs target automotive manufacturers and global capability centres, addressing the rising demand for professionals skilled in software-defined vehicles. They aim to bridge the gap between traditional automotive roles and digital expertise needed for emerging vehicle tech.
The curriculum includes modules on advanced Internet of Things, embedded systems, vehicle safety, communication protocols, cybersecurity, edge computing, cloud virtualisation, and standards like AUTOSAR and ASPICE.
This series of programs will blend self-paced learning with instructor-led sessions from IIT Madras.
Training combines interactive environments and expert coaching to equip practitioners with skills for automated driving, advanced driver assistance systems, electrical architectures, connectivity, and infotainment.
The focus is on practical, industry-relevant competencies for software-driven vehicles.
Software-defined vehicles rely on complex digital systems, requiring expertise in AI, machine learning, and cybersecurity.
By 2040, software-driven digital services are expected to generate $3.5 trillion (approx. ₹2,93,125 hundred crore), comprising 40 per cent of global automotive revenues. Upskilling is critical to meet this demand and maintain industry competitiveness.
The initiative strengthens the automotive sector’s ability to innovate, enabling manufacturers to integrate advanced technologies efficiently. It fosters a workforce capable of handling the complexities of next-generation vehicles, enhancing safety and performance.
Collaboration with CAAR leverages IIT Madras’s research expertise, translating academic advancements into practical solutions. This partnership could set a global standard for automotive training program.
