From new launches to interesting upcoming products, the last week was busy and interesting.

In this week’s two-wheeler news, we had a couple of launches, but delivery timelines of one bike got pushed back over some mechanical fault. On the other hand, some brands saw months of strategy come to fruition. Here’s the gist of it all:

Ather IPO Goes Live

Ather Energy finally rang the bells of Dalal street this week as its ₹2,981 crore IPO went live. The public money raised will now help the brand to further expand its portfolio. This includes both new electric scooters and motorcycles, and a bunch of new tech as well. 

Norton Launch In India Confirmed

After India and the UK successfully signed a Free Trade Agreement, TVS’ MD Sudarshan Venu confirmed that the iconic British motorcycle brand Norton Motorcycles will launch in the country by the end of this year. There’s a lot going to happen from this brand and in the Indian market it is slated to pit bikes to take on Royal Enfield. Head to the link here to find out more about these bikes. 

BMW F 450 GS Test Mule Spotted

A test mule of the BMW F 450 GS was spotted for the first time since its concept broke cover last year. The bigger news was that it was spotted in Karnataka, and unlike the concept bike, the F 450 GS test mule sported a few differences, some of which could be traced down to the outgoing BMW G 310 GS. 

Royal Enfield Scram 440 deliveries paused

Deliveries for the Royal Enfield Scram 440 have been delayed, because the bike won’t start. Several consumer complaints have convinced Royal Enfield to pause deliveries of the remaining lot of Scram 440. 

Honda CeeBees Go Clutchless

Honda has finally brought the CBR650 and CBR650R e-Clutch variants to India, and the bikes cost ₹30,000-₹40,000 more than the standard variants. This also marks the debut of Honda’s e-Clutch technology in India, so other Honda bikes which use this tech are also expected to launch this year.
