India's automotive market is gearing up for a series of key launches spanning mass-market EVs, rugged SUVs, and premium performance cars. From affordable electric crossovers to luxury sports models, here’s a detailed look at what’s coming soon — with expected timelines, prices, and specifications.

Mercedes-AMG G63 ‘Collector’s Edition’ and AMG GT 63/GT 63 PRO are expected to be brought to India as CBU imports. The G63 Collector’s Edition could cost between ₹3.5–4 crore, while the AMG GT 63 range, offering 639 PS from its 4.0-litre V8, is expected to retail above ₹2.5 crore. While niche, these cars underline India’s growing appetite for high-performance machines.

Expected Price: ₹70-80 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
MG Cyberster, the brand's first electric convertible roadster, is expected to launch in India in July 2025. With a global design language and performance of around 540–644 PS depending on variant, it’s aimed at enthusiasts. The expected price in India is between ₹70–80 lakh, and it will arrive as a fully imported CBU.

Kia Carens Clavis EV, also referred to as the Kia Carens EV in some quarters, is expected in July 2025. The SUV-styled EV will likely offer a range close to 500 km and come with the brand’s latest connectivity and ADAS suite. Kia may price it competitively around ₹16–20 lakh, placing it against the Maruti e Vitara and Tata Curvv EV.

Expected Price: ₹22- ₹27 lakh (ex-showroom)
Tata Sierra, once a cult classic, is now being reborn as a modern SUV in both electric and ICE avatars. The all-new Sierra is expected to debut in the July-August period, with Tata confirming both EV and petrol versions. The EV version is likely to use the Gen 2 Acti.ev platform with a range of around 500 km and output close to 212 bhp, while the ICE version may get the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine currently being tested on other Tata models. Prices are likely to start around ₹22 lakh for the ICE version and ₹27 lakh for the EV.

Expected Price: ₹35- 55 lakh (ex-showroom)
VinFast VF6 and VF7, from Vietnamese EV maker VinFast, are scheduled to launch in India by September 2025. The VF6 comes with a 59.6 kWh battery, up to 410 km range, and 174 PS output. The VF7 will sit a segment higher with a 450 km range and 201 PS. VF6 is expected to be priced around ₹35 lakh, with the VF7 close to ₹50 lakh. Bookings for both are now open.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is all set to mark Maruti’s debut in the EV space. Likely to launch around September 2025, the all-electric SUV will offer two battery packs — a 49 kWh and a 61 kWh — delivering up to 500 km of range. Power output will range from 142 bhp to 172 bhp with options for single and dual motor setups. Expected to be priced between ₹17–22.5 lakh (ex-showroom), the e-Vitara will compete with the Tata Curvv EV and Hyundai Creta EV.

Expected Price: ₹80-90 lakh (ex-showroom, India)
MG M9 EV, a premium electric MPV, has also opened bookings in India. Powered by a 90 kWh battery and delivering 245 PS, the M9 offers a range of 430 km and a luxury-focused cabin with dual sunroofs, rear business-class seats, and Level 2 ADAS. Prices are expected to be around ₹85 lakh.

Expected Price: ₹6.40–11 lakh (ex-showroom)
Tata Punch Facelift is also due around September 2025, aligning with the festive buying season. It will retain the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine (85 bhp/113 Nm) and could bring in more features, including a 10.25-inch infotainment display and a fully digital cluster. Expect prices to range from ₹6.40–11 lakh (ex-showroom).

Expected Price: ₹13 lakh (ex-showroom)
Renault Duster, based on the CMF-B platform, is set to make a major comeback by December 2025. It will offer multiple powertrains, including mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid petrol options, with power outputs ranging from 128 PS to 138 PS. The possibility of a 4WD variant adds further appeal. Prices could start around ₹13 lakh, making it a direct rival to the new Nissan SUV.
