Apple iPhone 15 series tipped to launch on September 12

Apple could host its annual iPhone event for the upcoming iPhone 15 series on September 12, per the latest information from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Like clockwork, Apple hosts its iPhone event in the first two weeks of September, and this time, the iPhone lineup could be unveiled on Tuesday, September 12.

Gurman also speculates that the iPhone 15 event could be held a day later on Wednesday, September 13. As per the internal emails, Apple has requested its employees not to take the day off on September 13 because of a “smartphone announcement”.

The iPhone 15 models are expected to get a USB-C port following the EU legislation that mandated smartphones to have a Type-C port for charging, including the iPhones. In addition, all four phones in the iPhone 15 series could get the pill-shaped Dynamic Island which debuted with last year’s iPhone 14 Pro models.

It remains to be seen whether the new iPhone 15 lineup gets unveiled on September 12 or 13. Still, like last year, Apple will be hosting an in-person event at the Apple Campus where attendees will get a chance to experience the new iPhones before anyone else.
