Apple today announced a new Apple Pencil designed to bring even more affordable creative possibilities to iPad users. The new Apple Pencil has the same pixel-perfect accuracy, low latency, and tilt sensitivity as the original Apple Pencil. It allows for precise note-taking, sketching, annotating, and more. It features a streamlined matte finish and magnetically attaches to the side of compatible iPads for easy storage and charging.
The new Apple Pencil uses a USB-C port for quick pairing and charging with a USB-C cable. It will be available starting in early November for ₹7900.
“Apple Pencil has revolutionised note taking, sketching, and illustrating, unleashing endless possibilities for productivity and creativity. Combined with the versatility of iPad, the new Apple Pencil unlocks another great option to experience the magic of digital handwriting, annotation, marking up documents, and more,” said Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing.
The new pencil works with all iPad models with a USB-C port, including the new 10th-generation iPad, iPad Pro, iPad Air, and iPad mini. This introduction provides more choices for iPad users to pick the Apple Pencil that best fits their creative needs.
The original Apple Pencil (1st generation) supports pressure sensitivity and remains compatible with the 10th- and 9th-generation iPad. The Apple Pencil (2nd generation) offers additional features like gesture controls and magnetic charging with iPad Pro, iPad Air, and iPad mini models.
With the new affordable option, Apple Pencil now makes the power of the iPad accessible to even more customers, enabling intuitive drawing, writing, marking up documents, and more.
