Aprilia RS457 And Tuono 457 Now Offered With Standard 4-Year/48,000 km Warranty

In order to show just how reliable and stable its new 457 cc platform really is, Aprilia will now offer a standard 4-year/48,000 km warranty. This is 1-year/12,000 m more than what it offered previously on the RS457 and Tuono 457. However, it is likely that this benefit will only be passed on to new buyers and not those who have purchased the sport bike earlier.

The Italian firm came under a bit of fire with a few reported cases of the 457 cc engine causing some troubles. However, an official statement from Aprilia cited that the majority of the problems were caused by “Unauthorized Aftermarket Modifications and Irregular Service Schedules.” There were only a handful of genuine cases and those were addressed with proper steps.

With the increase in warranty period, Aprilia really wants to drive in the fact that its engines, as well as the rest of the bike, are reliable and safe. And there should be very little doubt as to how exciting the 457 cc bikes really are. The RS 457 dazzled our Acko Drive Awards jury to win the TOTM of the Bike of the Year and the Tuono 457 is another strong contender.
