The Ather 450 Apex electric scooters have already arrived in showrooms for test rides.
Ather Energy’s flagship product, the 450 Apex, has started to arrive in showrooms. The company’s founder Tarun Mehta took to social media to announce the same. He further confirmed that deliveries have also commenced in Bengaluru, Pune, and Goa.
The Ather 450 Apex will be on display in 50 Ather Experience centers across India. Moreover, customers can also test ride one to experience the new features that the Ather 450 Apex has on offer, which we experienced on our first ride.
With the 450 Apex, Ather introduced new Warp+ mode and Magic Twist features. While the former makes acceleration in the 450 Apex more manic with 0-40 kmph coming up in just 2.9 seconds. The latter is an advanced form of regenerative braking which can be used to come to a standstill and will be quite useful in traffic scenarios. It also enhances range in the 450 Apex (as against the claimed 150 km of range with the 450 X) from the same 3.7 kWh battery pack.
Visually, the Ather 450 Apex looks quite premium and unique with the transparent side body panels, and the addition of the new Indium Blue colour further enhances its exclusivity. The 450 Apex is also the most powerful Ather electric scooter as of yet, for it equips an updated PMS motor that produces 7 kW peak power (up from 6.4 kW in the 450 X).
Without any FAME-II subsidies, the Ather 450 Apex is priced at ₹1.89 lakh (ex-showroom) making it the most expensive Ather electric scooter as of yet. From a performance point of view, the Ather 450 Apex is one of the most enjoyable electric scooters there is in the market. The exclusive treatment rightly compliments that slightly heavy price tag of the same.
