Ather 450 Apex Electric Scooter Teased, More Performance & Range

Ather Energy has unveiled a teaser video and a tweet from its CEO, hinting at the new 450 Apex e-scooter. It aims to take all the goodness that the 450X has been delivering over the years and amp it up by a good couple of notches.

This was hinted at last week by Tarun Mehta, CEO of Ather Energy, as an upgraded version of the 450 platform. It was also mentioned that the pricing will be on the expensive side, but the performance and features would justify it. Thus, the new 450 Apex scooter is aimed at enthusiasts and could be the quickest Ather scooter, and possibly Indian e-scooter, to go on sale.

The name 'Apex' suggests advancements in speed and acceleration, potentially introducing a new top-class performance mode. The Ather 450X, the current model, boasts a top speed of 90 kmph and accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.3 seconds. While competitors offer higher speeds, the 450 Apex model might just aim to trump the competition and offer sustained high speed performance while doing soX. It would also benefit Ather highly to revamp the styling of the upcoming scooter and offer it in a more chiselled and edgier avatar.
