Ather Community Day to Reveal New Features and Scooter

Ather Energy is gearing up for its Community Day on April 6th, and CEO Tarun Mehta and co-founder Swapnil Jain have teased some exciting announcements. The event will be held in Bengaluru and is expected to attract both current Ather owners and create buzz among potential buyers.

All-New Ather Rizta to Make Debut

The star of the show, however, is likely to be the all-new Ather Rizta electric scooter. This family electric scooter boasts a brand new design, with a larger body and more generous under-seat storage compared to the current 450 series. Recent sightings suggest it can comfortably accommodate two adults and a tail bag. The Rizta's price is estimated to fall between ₹ 1.25 lakh and ₹ 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it in direct competition with the TVS iQube S and the Ola S1 series.

Ather 450 to Get Major Update

The next big news is the upcoming Atherstack 6, which Ather claims as its most significant over-the-air (OTA) update yet. This update will bring a new feature called "messaging on the dash" and a new smartphone app designed to integrate various scooter functionalities. While details are scarce, speculation suggests features like proximity lock/unlock could be included.

Ather co-founders have also hinted at additional features for the Rizta, including USB charging and a mysterious "smart accessory" whose details remain under wraps. The company has also teased a possible touchscreen infotainment system and a larger, flatter floorboard.

Ather Apex Display

The recently launched Ather 450 Apex will be showcased at the event, allowing attendees to get a closer look and potentially take it for a test ride. There will even be competitions where participants can win an Ather scooter, possibly the Apex itself.

The Ather Community Day promises to be a fun-filled event with the unveiling of the Rizta, the chance to experience the Apex, and the release of the Atherstack 6 update. With more details expected in the coming weeks, Ather is definitely generating excitement for its upcoming electric offerings.
