Ather EL Scooter To Debut In August, Will Be Ather’s Most Affordable Scooter

Ather has confirmed that its next generation of electric scooters, based on the new EL platform, will break cover at the brand’s upcoming Community Day event. This new range of electric scooters is very pivotal to Ather’s IPO plans, so a lot will be riding on the shoulders of these new products. Alongside the new EL-platform-based electric scooters, Ather Energy also confirmed that it will showcase a few concept vehicles, which we reckon might be the brand’s upcoming electric motorcycle range. 

The upcoming range of EL-platform-based electric scooters will mark a significant shift in the brand’s product strategy, wherein it will prioritise being cost-effective. So, unlike the current range of performance-focused offerings, these scooters might feature a smaller battery pack with longer charging times. Consequently, the top speed will also be conservative here, all of which will help Ather position these scooters as an affordable electric scooter.
