The HALO helmets have been designed and developed to give Ather customers a unique car-like experience on their two-wheelers.
After several teasers and clever advertorials, Ather Energy has ultimately introduced its new series of smart helmets called HALO. To be available in both open and closed face styles, the HALO helmet has been pitched to better your riding experience, instead of just making it safer only.
With DOT2 and ISI safety ratings, the full-face Ather HALO helmet retails ₹14,999, but the first 1000 units will be available with an early bird discount at ₹12,999. While the Halo bit for open-face helmets will set you back by ₹4,999.
For starters, the Ather HALO helmet is not based on any other product or designed by any other company. So it has been completely developed in-house by Ather. Right from the padding to the shell. But making it more modern and futuristic is its HALO tech where the audio is provided by Harman Kardon.
Considering the modern smartphone era, the HALO tech has been designed to integrate into our daily lives easily. Right from the moment you wear it, the HALO helmet automatically switches on and connects to the Ather scooter and your phone via Bluetooth. Using a couple of speakers and sensors - the helmet gets anti-noise cancellation, music playback, and answer call functions.
Ather is positioning the HALO as their version of the technology that will offer a car-like experience, especially with its Ather ChitChat function. Which allows the rider and pillion to talk with each other via the helmet without any interference from surrounding noise.
Ather’s new HALO series of helmets was first unveiled at its Ather Community Day 2024 event in Bengaluru where the brand also launched its first family electric scooter, the Rizta, and rolled out its new AtherStack 6 software.
