First international Experience Centre, Ather Space, in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Ather Energy commenced its global journey by inaugurating its first international Experience Centre, Ather Space, in Naxal, Kathmandu, Nepal. This collaboration with Vaidya Energy, a subsidiary of Vaidya's Organization of Industries & Trading Houses (VOITH) is the introduction of the Ather 450X to the Kathmandu market, which has already garnered significant attention.
In the near future, Ather plans to further extend its presence in Kathmandu by launching a second Experience Centre in partnership with Vaidya Energy. Additionally, the company has ambitious plans to expand into seven cities, opening ten new locations to meet the growing demand of its customer base.
Vaidya Energy will handle distribution and servicing of Ather products in Nepal, including the rollout of Ather Grids throughout the nation. Ather aims to position the 450X as an alternative to traditional petrol two-wheelers in the Nepal market in a gradual time frame.
Speaking about their expansion plans, Ravneet Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather said, “The electric two-wheeler market in Nepal is at a nascent stage, akin to the Indian market’s position 5 – 6 years ago. From experience, we know that the best way to unlock market potential is to bring high quality, high performance vehicles. We are confident that the Ather 450X makes for a perfect product offering with its superior performance, quality, and ability to handle diverse terrains with ease. We believe the market will upgrade to high-performance EVs, and consumer demand will witness explosive growth."
The Ather 450S has a 2.9 kWh battery, offering a 115 km range, accelerating from 0-40 km/h in 3.9 seconds, and reaching a top speed of 90 km/h. The Ather 450X comes with 2.9 kWh or 3.7 kWh battery options, providing ranges of 115 km and 150 km, and achieves similar acceleration and top speed with more power.
The Ather 450S is priced at ₹ 1,32,550, while the 450X is priced at ₹ 1,01,050. Diwali discounts are currently in effect, and you can find more information about them in our article.
