Test rides for the Ather Rizta begin from June 1 onwards.
Electric scooter enthusiasts looking to get their hands on the new Ather Rizta won't have to wait much longer. Ather Energy has announced deliveries for the Rizta will commence in mid or late June. The test rides will be kicking off earlier on June 1. Those interested in the longer-range 3.7 kWh Z variant will likely need to wait a bit longer, with deliveries expected to start in July.
The Ather Rizta caters to city and family-oriented design with its focus on space and functionality. It is built on the same platform as the Ather 450. The Ather Rizta has the largest seat for any scooter. It is available in three variants, with two battery pack options. The base-spec Ather Rizta S gets a 2.9 kWh battery pack, offering an IDC range of 123 km. The Ather Rizta Z variant ups the range ante with a larger 3.7 kWh battery option, extending the IDC range to 160 km. The Z variant also offers the same 2.9 kWh battery as the S model.
The Ather Rizta is packed with features for both convenience and safety. The 7-inch DeepView display, familiar from the Ather 450 scooters, has features like Google Maps navigation, traffic layer overlays, and message previews. For rider safety, Ather Rizta has a Skid Control system that utilises front-wheel sensors to work with the existing Ather Drive Control, ensuring synchronised wheel speeds. Standard features include Emergency Shut-off Switch (ESS), Fall detection, AutoHold parking assist, and Find My Scooter functionality.
Comfort is a major focus, with the Ather Rizta sporting a wide, 900mm long seat. This generous seat rests above a capacious 34-litre underseat storage compartment, complemented by a roomy 22-litre frunk.
Ather Rizta offers a variety of accessories to maximise this space, including an 18W power outlet for charging devices and a cleverly designed organiser pack that expands storage within the boot space and doubles as a carry bag.
Ather Rizta starts at an attractive price point of ₹1.10 lakh. This entry-level price applies to the S variant with the smaller 2.9 kWh battery. The Ather Rizta Z with the 2.9 kWh battery carries a slightly higher price tag of ₹1.25 lakh. Opting for the longer-range 3.7 kWh battery in the Z variant will set you back ₹1.60 lakh. Bookings for the Ather Rizta are already underway across India for a token amount of ₹999.
