The Ather Rizta is priced from ₹1.10 lakh onwards, and it is available with two battery pack options.
The newly launched Ather Rizta is here to carry forward Ather Energy into the realms of family-oriented productivism. Based on the same, but slightly modified, architecture that Ather debuted six years ago with the ‘450’, the Rizta ushers in a simpler and more practical design that is more about functionality, than form.
The Ather Rizta is available in two trim levels - S and Z. While the S is available with the 2.9 kWh battery pack, the Z trim can be had with either the smaller battery pack or a bigger 3.7 kWh battery. The electric motor is a 4.3 kW unit that produces 22 Nm peak torque, and the top speed is also 80 kmph, across all variants.
Both the Ather Rizta S and Z with the 2.9 kWh battery pack are available with Ather’s 350Wportable charger that takes 6 hours and 40 mins to charge from 0-80 per cent, and 8 hours 30 mins to charge 0-100%. The Ather Rizta Z with the bigger 3.7 kWh battery is available with the Ather Duo 700W charger that takes 4 hours and 30 minutes to charge 0-80 per cent, and 6 hours and 10 minutes to charge 0-100%. In addition to that Rizta owners will also have access to Ather’s comprehensive fast-charging network, with 1800+ fast-charging points.
The approach to designing and engineering the Ather Rizta was to make it practical daily. For starters, the 900 mm seat is the largest in the segment, which houses underneath an equally spacious 34-litre boot space. Coupled with a 22-litre frunk available as an accessory, the Rizta ends up with 56-litre storage space on board.
The Ather Rizta might not get the gamut of technology that the 450 scooters get, but it covers the basics that are apt for our daily lives. Available as part of the brand’s Pro pack are just two ride modes - Smart Eco and Zip. Along with auto-hold, FallSafe, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), and Call and Music control are also available across all variants. But Google Maps is available with the Rizta Z variants, while the base-spec S trim gets turn-by-turn navigation.
Newly introduced features with AtherStack6 updates like Whatsapp On Dashboard, Auto Reply to Calls, Ping My Scooter, Share Live Location, and Alexa Skills are restricted with the Ather Rizta Z variants only.
In addition to Pro Pack, Ather also have other accessories on offer with the Rizta. This includes its newly launched series of smart helmets called HALO, a multi-purpose charger, and Tyre Pressure Monitoring system.
The base-spec Ather Rizta S is available with three colour monotone options only - Siachen White, Deccan Grey Mono, and Pangong Blue Mono. The Ather Rizta Z variant also gets four more dual-tone colour options: Deccan Grey, Cardamom Green, Pangong Blue, and Alphonso Yellow.
