Only first-gen Ather scooter owners in Bengaluru and Chennai can avail of the benefits of this program at the moment.
Ather’s upgrade program has finally gone live and it has started with Bengaluru and Chennai. Via this program, owners can exchange their first-gen Ather 450 electric scooter for the latest Ather 450 Apex or 450X at a significantly discounted price.

First generation Ather owners can upgrade into the latest one directly. With the first customer Sachin Kumar today who's upgraded his 2019 Ather450 into a 450X today in Bengaluru!

Interested customers will be required to approach the Ather customer service centre, post which a mail will be forwarded to them which will contain the discounted price of the current-gen 450 scooters. The scooters on offer are the Ather 450 Apex which is available for ₹1 lakh, and the Ather 450X with the bigger 3.7 kWh battery is priced at ₹80,000, while the 450X with the 2.9 kWh battery is ₹70,000 thanks to this program. The entry-level Ather 450S is not part of this exchange program.
Ather Energy is also slated to launch its first family electric scooter called Rizta. Based on the same platform that underpins the 450 scooters, the Rizta will boast a completely new body design that is more accommodating and spacious. The same 3.7 kWh battery will most like be the source of power, but that is yet to be confirmed. Alongside the Rizta, Ather Energy will also introduce a slew of new features for its entire scooter range via over the air updates. To know more about them, read here.
