Audi inaugurating India's first ultra-fast charging station in Mumbai takes a step towards sustainable electric mobility.
Audi’s electric car portfolio has been growing significantly in the country and with more cars being added to the line-up, the company is preparing for the future. Today, it augurated India’s first ultra-fast charging station in Mumbai. This facility is located in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) and has been developed in collaboration with ChargeZone. The facility was inaugurated by Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head, Audi India and Kartikey Hariyani, Founder & CEO, ChargeZone.
The facility has 6 bays and 5 charging guns and has a total capacity of 450kW. There’s a 360 kW charger as well and just to give you perspective, the Audi RS e-tron can be charged from 20-80% via this charger in just 16 minutes. While the charging facility is open for all EV customers, there is a bit of added convenience for Audi customers.
Speaking with Acko Drive, Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head, Audi India said, “Audi’s EV customers are now growing in number and charging infrastructure is what is needed right now and so this facility will provide free charging for all Audi EV customers till mid-2024. Infact, we have even created an exclusive lounge for our customers and support as well will be available from 8am to 8 pm every single day.”
This ‘e-tron hub’, as Audi likes to call it, has other offers too for its customers and via the Myaudi Connect App, all information can be easily accessed. Audi India has installed 140+ chargers across 73 cities in India and this includes dealerships and highway locations. More are coming says Balbir and that’s not just true about EV chargers but also about the EVs themselves.
