Audi India has reported an 89 per cent growth in retail sales, reaching a total of 7,931 units from January to December 2023. This achievement not only marks the highest sales for Audi India since 2015 but also solidifies the brand's leadership position in the competitive Indian luxury car market. Audi's performance in the fourth quarter of 2023, witnessing a 94 per cent growth with 2,401 retail units sold, further underscores the brand's resilience in a challenging market environment. The growth surge has been fuelled by a combination of three new product launches and three limited editions, including the Audi Q3 Sportback, Audi Q8 e-Tron, and Audi Q8 Sportback e-Tron.
Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India said, “2023 marks another successful year for us and our diverse and desirable product portfolio continues to garner robust demand. We remain steadfast to an upward trajectory, instituting industry-first initiatives, and delivering unparalleled luxury experiences.”
He added, “Our retail footprint is expanding, culminating in the year-end with a total of 64 touch points (includes showrooms and workshops) and 25 Audi Approved: plus showrooms nationwide. We are confident that this momentum will carry into 2024.”
Audi India sold nearly 8000 cars in 2023. That’s the highest nos for the brand in almost 10 years. Q3 family was the best seller. Big jump over 2022.

Audi's strong performance can be attributed to its robust product portfolio comprising 17 cars, including best-sellers like the Audi A4, Audi A6, and Audi Q5. The luxury carmaker has also witnessed high demand for its top-of-the-line models, such as the Audi Q7, and Audi Q8, and electric offerings like Audi e-Tron GT. Notably, Audi's SUV range experienced a 174 per cent growth, indicating a strong market preference for the brand's SUVs. The performance and lifestyle segment, including the e-Tron range, grew by 40 per cent.
Audi India's customer loyalty remains a strong point, with one in every four customers being a repeat Audi buyer. Dhillon added, “One in every four customers is a repeat Audi buyer and this tells us that we are on the right path. We will continue to focus on industry-best offerings for our customers and of course, bringing the very best products to India.”
The brand's initiatives in the electric vehicle segment have also garnered attention, with the introduction of 'ChargeMyAudi' on the myAudiConnect app, providing Audi e-Tron customers access to multiple charging points. Audi's focus on sustainability is further emphasised by the launch of India's first ultra-fast charging station in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, showcasing its commitment to green energy solutions.
