Audi India has launched the Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback electric SUVs in India. Prices for the Q8 e-tron start from Rs 1.14 crore (ex-showroom). The Q8 e-tron, which is essentially a facelift and Audi’s first all-electric SUV, is available in two variants - 50 and 55. Both the Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback get a dual-motor setup (front and rear). The 50 trim level gets power output figures of 340 bhp and 664 Nm of torque with a 95 kWh battery pack. The 55 trim, on the other hand, boasts of 408 bhp and 664 Nm of torque with a 114 kWH battery pack. In the 50 trim, the e-tron gets a claimed range of 491 km while the Sportback is said to give 505 km on a full charge. In the 55 trim level, the e-tron gets a claimed range of 582 km, while the Sportback gets 600 km. That's not all, the Q8 e-tron even comes with best-in-class ground clearance of 226 mm.
In comparison to the previous generation models, the Q8 e-tron and Sportback e-tron get visual updates like redesigned front and rear bumper, headlights and LED tail light cluster. On the inside, both electric SUVs get recycled upholstery along with a few changes to the cabin.

The Q8 e-tron and Sportback e-tron come with two touchscreens in the centre console - a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system on top, while the bottom screen is a 8-6-inch display that helps control climate functions. There are a number of other goodies like a 360-degree camera, four-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof and a 16-speaker Bang and Olufsen music system.
Furthermore, both the Q8 e-tron and e-tron Sportback come with a 22 kW AC charger and both electric SUVs have a charging port on either side. Audi claims that both vehicles can be charged using a 170 kW DC fast charger. The Audi Q8 e-tron is available in five exterior colour options. Audi will also provide 10 years of Roadside Assistance (RSA) and provide an 8-year/1,60,000 km battery warranty on the Q8 e-tron. Apart from this, Audi is also offering the Q8 e-tron with a complimentary 2+3 years of warranty. In terms of competition, the only other electric SUV that the Audi Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback compete with is the Jaguar I-Pace, which is priced between Rs 1.20 crore and Rs 1.24 crore (ex-showroom).
