The global debut will confirm potential rollout timelines in key markets, including Europe, China, and even India.
Audi AG has officially confirmed that the third-generation Audi Q3 will make its global premiere on June 16, 2025. The upcoming model marks a significant step for one of the brand’s best-selling nameplates globally and in India as well, where luxury SUVs have seen consistent growth. Since its global debut in 2011, the Audi Q3 has sold over two million units worldwide, becoming a cornerstone in the German carmaker’s product strategy.

In India, the Audi Q3 has cemented its position as the brand’s best-selling model and serves as a key entry point into Audi’s SUV lineup. According to Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, the Q3 continues to drive volumes for the brand, underscoring its strong market appeal. The current generation is available in two body styles — the conventional SUV and the sportier Sportback — with prices ranging from ₹45.24 lakh to ₹56.94 lakh (ex-showroom). The upcoming third-generation Q3 will include both iterations, with the Sportback variant also expected to debut globally alongside the standard model. An India launch is anticipated by late 2025 or early 2026.
While Audi has not officially confirmed technical specifications for the third-gen model, the Q3 is expected to continue on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB Evo platform, shared with the likes of the Volkswagen Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq, allowing for component sharing and keep the pricing aggressive.
Design updates include a bolder front fascia, a wider grille, and the addition of pixel-style split LED headlamps, aligning the model’s styling with newer Audi offerings such as the Q6 e-Tron. Teaser images and recent spy shots suggest sharper detailing and a possible full-width LED light strip at the rear. Alloy wheel designs, body creases, and a more assertive stance are also part of the expected visual refresh.
The Q3 is also slated to receive a significant interior overhaul, with Audi hinting at major digital upgrades. The cabin is likely to feature larger displays, a more advanced version of the MMI infotainment system, and improvements in connected tech and driver-assistance systems. Increased use of sustainable materials is also anticipated, in line with Audi’s broader goals on environmental responsibility.
Electrification remains a key area of speculation. While the outgoing model in India is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, we believe that the new Q3 could introduce mild-hybrid or plug-in hybrid variants internationally. An all-electric version has not been confirmed but would align with Audi’s long-term e-mobility roadmap.

Technologically, Audi has promised a digital upgrade, referring to the new Q3 as “an ideal digital companion.” While the brand has yet to elaborate, expectations include an upgraded MMI interface, improved connectivity features, and expanded driver assistance systems. The Q3’s interior has traditionally focused on high-quality materials and user-friendly interfaces; the upcoming version is expected to build on that foundation with a greater emphasis on screen real estate, AI-based user interaction, and sustainability in material sourcing.
