This is the fourth consecutive month that Suzuki has registered its highest-ever sales in the country.
Suzuki India has kickstarted FY24-25 right where it had left off FY23-24, by registering its highest-ever domestic sales again. In April 2024, the Indian arm of the Japanese bikemaker manufactured 99,377 units both for the Indian and export markets. Of which, 88,067 units were retailed in the domestic market alone, which helped the brand register a remarkable 31 per cent year-on-year growth, against the 67,259 units it sold in April 2023.
April also saw Suzuki India cross the 8-lakh cumulative two-wheeler production milestone from its Gurugram-based plant. The manufacturer managed to achieve this after 18 years of business in the country. “As we experience continual growth in our sales volume, we are humbled and overwhelmed by the ever-increasing patronage that Brand Suzuki has been receiving from the Indian Two-Wheeler Customers,” expressed Devashish Handa, Executive Vice President, Sales & After Sales, Suzuki Motorcycle India
Suzuki has also been expanding its footprint with the launch of new products. Last month saw the introduction of the new 25th-anniversary Celebration Edition Suzuki Hayabusa.
Earlier, after its official debut at the inaugural Bharat Mobility Global Expo, Suzuki India also launched the new V-Strom 800DE – something that we have been eagerly waiting for – in India. Thus allowing Suzuki to breathe in some fresh air to the middle-weight ADV segment, where it had become almost nonexistent with the aging V-Strom 650 XT.
