The South Korean carmaker sold 280,286 units in CY2025, against 245,000 units in CY2024, while sales in December 2025 grew by 105 per cent year-on-year.

Kia India reported its sales for the 2025 calendar year, registering a 15 per cent year-on-year growth. The South Korean carmaker sold 280,286 units in CY2025, against 245,000 units in CY2024. The company recorded consistent growth and even concluded the year on a high, recording the best-ever sales for December.

Kia sold 18,659 units in December 2025, garnering a whopping hike of 105 per cent year-on-year compared to 8,957 units sold in December 2024. The automaker said its sales were driven by strong customer focus coupled with improved customer sentiments. Notably, the GST revision announced in September last year, worked as a catalyst to boost sales for the auto sector at large.

Commenting on the performance, Atul Sood, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing, Kia India said, “2025 was a year of consistent and sustainable growth for Kia India, driven by strategic product introductions like the Carens Clavis and Carens Clavis EV, trim optimisation across key mass-selling models including the Seltos, Carens and Sonet; operational efficiencies, and continuous improvements across sales, service, and customer engagement. Supported by favourable macroeconomic conditions and government policies, including a consumer-friendly GST framework, these initiatives reinforced positive consumer sentiment.”

Speaking about the year ahead, Sood said, “Looking ahead to 2026, Kia India remains focused on delivering value-led offerings and strengthening the brand ownership experience across its product portfolio to drive steady, sustainable growth in a dynamic market environment.”

Kia’s product range hit individual milestones in 2025. The Kia Sonet saw sales cross the 100,000 units mark for the second consecutive year, while the Seltos remained a top-seller for the brand. The Carens MPV range comprising the Carens, Carens Clavis, and Carens Clavis EV registered strong volumes, according to the automaker. In terms of network, Kia says the brand expanded its presence to 821 touchpoints across 369 cities in the previous calendar year.

Kia India is now gearing up to introduce the second-generation Seltos in the market with prices set to be announced on January 2, 2026. The first-gen Kia Seltos sold over 5.8 lakh units in the domestic market, and 1.8 million globally. The second-gen version is expected to do consistently well for the automaker in 2026. We also expect to see the Syros EV arrive in 2026 to further boost the brand’s number in the mass-market electric mobility segment.
