TVS posted robust sales figures in May 2025 by retailing 4,31,275 units last month compared to 3,69,914 units in the corresponding month of 2024 - marking a substantial 17 per cent year-on-year improvement. This strong performance was driven by gains across various segments, particularly in international markets which surged by 22 per cent and by its expanding electric vehicle portfolio.
It led the sales charts last month with its EV portfolio registering an impressive 50 per cent growth by delivering 27,976 electric two-wheelers, compared to 18,674 units in May 2024. However, the company has flagged potential headwinds from EV supply chain disruptions, specifically highlighting magnet procurement issues that could pose near-term operational challenges. A similar sentiment was raised by Bajaj’s Executive Director Rakesh Sharma, highlighting geopolitical issues to be the stumbling block.
