Truck sales for Ashok Leyland grew by 30% in November while buses grew by 27% during the same period.
Ashok Leyland, has announced its sales figures for November 2025, reporting robust demand across both domestic and international markets. The company’s latest monthly sales data indicates significant growth in the Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicle (M&HCV) and Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) segments, reinforcing its market position during the peak business season.
In the domestic market, Ashok Leyland recorded total sales of 16,491 units in November 2025, marking a 32% increase over the 12,473 units sold in the same month last year. The M&HCV segment contributed substantially to this momentum. M&HCV truck sales rose 30%, reaching 8,576 units, compared to 6,609 units in November 2024, while M&HCV bus sales grew 27% to 1,662 units.
In October 2025, Ashok Leyland reported an overall monthly volume of 17,820 units which included 16,314 units of domestic sales. Their MoM volume for domestic dispatched remained stagnant. Domestic sales included 9,611 units of M&HCV units and 6,703 units of LCV. During the same period, M&HCV bus exports reached 969 units.
Collectively, the M&HCV category posted a 29% year-on-year (YoY) growth. The LCV division also delivered a notable performance with 6,253 units, registering a 37% increase over the previous year. On a cumulative basis, domestic volumes for April–November 2025 stood at 1,18,364 units, reflecting a 7% increase over the same period in 2024.
The strongest growth within this timeframe was seen in the LCV segment, which rose 10%, followed by steady gains of 5-8% across M&HCV trucks and buses. In the combined domestic and export markets, Ashok Leyland achieved total sales of 18,272 units in November 2025, a 29% YoY increase. M&HCV exports and domestic sales together grew 27%, with truck volumes rising to 8,952 units and bus volumes expanding significantly to 2,729 units, a 35% jump from November 2024. The LCV segment accounted for 6,591 units, up 33% YoY.
For the April–November 2025 period, total domestic-plus-export volumes reached 1,29,446 units, recording 9% growth over the previous year. The M&HCV bus segment delivered the strongest cumulative performance, expanding 23%, supported by sustained institutional demand and rising inter-city and staff transportation needs.
