Auto Sales November 2023: Toyota Acheives A Growth Of 51 Per Cent

While the company sold 16,924 units in the domestic market, 894 units of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder were exported.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor released its sales figures for November 2023, recording 17,818 units, compared to 11,765 units from November 2022, registering a growth of 51.45 per cent. While the company sold 16,924 units in the domestic market, 894 units of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder were exported. The overall growth chart of Toyota India continues to gain momentum with cumulative sales reaching 2,10,497 units in CY23, thus reflecting a 40 per cent increase over the same period in 2022, where the sales were 1,49,995 units.

Atul Sood, Vice President of Sales and Strategic Marketing at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said “As a customer-centric company, we ensured minimum impact on delivery by using contingent inventory to serve the pending and immediate requirements of our customers.”

Popular models, like the Hilux, Innova Hycross, Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the New Innova Crysta continue to steer growth for the company while the Fortuner and Legender continue to mark a strong presence in the market. In addition, the Vellfire, Rumion, Camry Hybrid and Glanza are contributing to the booking numbers.

In other news, Toyota India signed an MOU with the government of Karnataka for the next round of investments of around Rs. 3,300 crore involving the set-up of a new plant thus adding to capacity to the local manufacturing eco-system.
