Total two-wheeler sales reached 4,08,144 units, marking a 19 per cent increase compared to the same month last year
Bajaj Auto Limited has disclosed its sales figures for October 2023, showcasing a substantial year-on-year (YoY) growth of 35 per cent in domestic two-wheeler sales. The company reported the sale of 206,131 units of two-wheelers during the month, as per the regulatory filing. In contrast, Bajaj Auto witnessed a 5 per cent year-on-year (YoY) decline in exports, with 129,658 units shipped in October 2023 compared to 135,772 units in the same month the previous year.
On the domestic front, the commercial vehicle segment saw robust growth, as the company sold 51,132 units, marking a 39 per cent YoY increase from 36,786 units in October 2022. Bajaj Auto achieved its highest-ever domestic commercial vehicle sales for October 2023.
Bajaj Auto faced a notable decline in exports for commercial vehicles. Export sales in this category dropped by 28 per cent, with figures decreasing from 16,549 units in October 2022 to 11,912 units in October 2023. Year-to-date sales for two-wheelers in the domestic market showed strong growth of 16 per cent year-on-year, totalling 1,326,737 units. However, year-to-date exports of two-wheelers experienced a 20 per cent YoY decline, with 852,320 units sold during April-October 2023, compared to 1,066,412 units in the same period the previous year.
