In the first 10 months of 2023, Toyota reported a 40 per cent growth compared to the same period in the previous year.
Toyota's sales show a strong performance in October 2023, as it reported sales of 21,879 units, marking a significant 66 per cent increase compared to October 2022 when the sales stood at 13,143 units. This surge in sales reflects a demand for Toyota vehicles, indicating a growing market presence. In the first 10 months of 2023, Toyota reported a substantial 40 per cent growth, with 1,92,661 units sold compared to 1,38,190 units in the same period the previous year. This consistent growth is a result of the introduction of new products in the Toyota lineup.
The financial year 2023-24 has also witnessed significant growth. In the first 7 months of the financial year, Toyota achieved sales of 1,45,818 units, compared to 1,04,986 units sold in FY '22. This represents a 39% growth in 2023.
Atul Sood, Vice President of Sales, and Strategic Marketing at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “This year, the offtake of festive season has been very strong for both TKM and well as the industry. In October 2023, we reported our sales of 21,879 units which is mainly driven by the festive season push along with the strong market acceptance of the entire product line-up, resulting in higher volumes."
Toyota's diverse product line-up has played an important role in driving this growth. Offerings like the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Innova Hycross, Hilux, Vellfire, and Rumion have been contributors to the positive sales trend. Furthermore, established models like the Innova Crysta, Fortuner, Legender, Camry Hybrid, and Glanza continue to lead their respective segments.
