The Bajaj Chetak has received a slight price cut for a short period of time.
Bajaj is offering the Chetak electric scooter with a ‘festive offer’ that brings the price down to Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The original price of the scooter stands at Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), which means a fairly decent discount of Rs 14,000. This offer is valid for a short period, according to the press release shared by Bajaj.
The Bajaj Chetak comes packed with a 2.9 kWh battery pack that has an ARAI-certified range of 108 km. The said battery pack powers a 3.8 kW electric motor which is capable of taking the Chetak to a claimed top speed of 60 kmph. The batteries require 4 hours to charge completely on a conventional charger.
As far as competition is concerned, the Chetak locks horns with the Ather 450X, Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube and Hero’s Vida V1 Pro. Thanks to this special offer, the Chetak is the most affordable out of the aforementioned electric scooters in India, at least for the time being. Ather had recently launched the more affordable 450S while Ola bought the S1 Air and S1X to the market.
