Bajaj has identified six markets based on the strong presence of CNG as a fuel option there.
Bajaj Auto has announced plans to export the new Freedom 125 CNG bike to six international markets. The following are the export markets planned for the CNG bike have been shortlisted by the Pune-based company – Colombia, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Tanzania, and Peru.
Although launched recently, the Bajaj Freedom 125 has already garnered significant attention for its innovative design and eco-friendly technology. Despite its plan to export the Freedom 125 the company emphasised that it will prioritise fulfilling domestic orders before initiating exports.
The Bajaj Freedom 125 boasts several unique features, including a 2 kg CNG tank integrated beneath its 785 mm seat, which Bajaj claims is the longest in its segment. The motorcycle also incorporates a 2-litre auxiliary petrol tank, allowing riders to switch between fuel sources via a handlebar-mounted switch. Moreover, to ensure that the CNG tank is not compromised in any form or factor, Bajaj conducted 11 safety crash tests, the details of which have been explained here.

In terms of technology, the top-tier variant offers a negative LCD cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, while base models feature a standard LCD display. It will be available in three variants, and the differences between them have been explained here.
Bajaj claims an impressive fuel efficiency of 102 kilometres per kilogram of CNG, when combined with the petrol tank, the total range extends to 330 kilometres. Powering the Freedom 125 is a 125 cc single-cylinder engine, producing 9.4 bhp and 9.7 Nm, coupled with a 5-speed transmission.

With the new Freedom 125, Bajaj aims to disrupt the 125 cc segment and take on rivals like the Honda Shine 125 and Hero Honda Super Splendor, which have ruled this segment with the highest mileage figures. Bajaj wants to beat this competition, by boasting a running cost that is almost half that of conventional ICE-powered 125 cc bikes.
